Ahoy! We're a literacy charity that aims to improve the reading, writing, confidence and perseverance of children who are falling behind in class, so they can achieve at school and beyond. We run after-school sessions supported by volunteers at our two ships in London - one in Hackney, one in Haringey - and also a Virtual Ship.
Volunteers work one to one or in small groups with young people aged 9 to 13, supporting them with their reading and writing and championing their work as they become published poets, authors and podcast creators!
