Lionsgate Music presents chamber music concerts exclusively for patients and medical staff in hospitals in London and beyond. The beneficiaries are the patients and their families, the NHS medical and hospital staff, and the musicians as well. We provide beautiful classical music played by professional freelance musicians (who have lost so much during Covid) to give patients and staff the chance to reflect, relax and have some respite from their challenging and demanding situations.
Lionsgate Music started out just over a year ago taking live concerts into hospitals, performed by freelance classical musicians employed by the charity. These proved to be extremely well received and made a powerful and positive impact on all those who attended. Now due to Covid, we are producing pre-recorded streamed weekly concerts to go out through the radio networks of the Hospital Broadcasting Association initially to 100 hospitals.We plan to expand this into the whole of the HBA membership over the next few years.
