Objectives

Lindengate is a young, vibrant mental health charity based on a 5 acre site in Wendover, Buckinghamshire.
We provide a Social and Therapeutic Horticulture service to users whom we call Gardeners. They can spend time in a managed, calm and safe environment, in small groups, working towards their recovery.

The Gardeners can have various mental health needs including: brain injury: autism: dementia or learning disabilities. We provide a non-clinical service which uses the healing power of nature to enhance mental wellbeing and reduce social isolation.

The name Lindengate comes from mixing the Old English name for a Lime tree - 'Linden', known for its recuperative and stress-relieving properties and the 'Gate', symbolising passing through on the journey to recovery.
