Objectives

Lighthouse at Weston is a charity aimed at bringing hope to Weston's people in need through projects that support those in crisis, train people for employment and strengthen families and communities.

Activities

We do this via a number of projects starting with the Weson Foodbank and Kings Table which help the most needy and vulnerable by providing short term assistance, and then via Vision4Skills which delivers basic confidence building training in diverse areas such as arts and crafts, cooking and an award winning garden. We also provide parenting and relationship courses, conversational English classes and even a choir aimed at strengthening our communities. We have recently opened a new community Hub in the centre of the town which provides well fitted accommodation for a number of events at very reasonable rates as well as broadening the range of activities provided. The Lighthouse charity is open to new projects where an individual or group wishes to develop an idea or project aimed at supporting the core needs of the vulnerable in Weston in line with the charity's goals and values.
