Objectives

Lighthouse On The Marsh offers services that combine education, kindness, and real-world understanding to help people find their way in life.  Our mission is to ensure that all of the people of the Romney Marsh can take control of their lives and feel that they can make meaningful changes to improve their situation.  We do this by working with those on the margins and for whom mainstream services and education have not worked.

Activities

Our College, for young people aged 16 to 18 years old (or 19 to 25 with an EHCP) offers employability-focussed Study Programmes that combine practical preparation for life and work with a chance to gain qualifications.

Our Re-Set Programme helps adults to do just that; stop and re-set their mental and physical health with a menu of wellbeing activities and crucially an understanding of the stress response system, and how these activities help their mind/body health.

Our SEND* services offer assistance to parents and carers of children of all ages, to help them understand how best to support their child's needs. We can help to guide people through the complex SEND system and provide advice on accessing the right support, including the application process for an EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) and support to work constructively with schools and other professionals.
