Objectives

Lifeworks supports Autistic people 14+ and their carers' in North Staffs. Established in 2006 Lifeworks currently supports 800+ Autistic clients and 329 carers’. The majority have mental ill health, extreme anxiety and depression, struggle with social interaction/interpretation and are isolated in the community.

Activities

Lifeworks screens it's clients to identify needs including whether they need an Autism diagnosis. Offer services such as advocacy, outreach work, one-to-one appointments, befriending and social activities, sign posting to other agencies. We also provide telephone support taking enquiries from professionals and the public. We help relieve our clients stress and mental ill health by helping with housing, employment, benefits and education issues among many. We run carers’ meetings and social activities in North Staffs helping tackle isolation.
