Objectives

Leicester LGBT Centre is a local charity serving Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland, and for over 40 years we have been making a difference to the lives of LGBT+ people through our Support Services, Advocacy, Projects, Social Activities and Training.

Leicester LGBT Centre recognises that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) people face many forms of discrimination and prejudice which can affect opportunities to be involved, included and valued in society as equals. The Centre exists to provide a safe social and support space, deliver high quality professional services, and challenge the inequality created by society.

The Centre is the number one go-to place for members of the LGBT+ community across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and we are a centre of excellence for LGBT+ Awareness Training for our partners.

The LGBT Centre is an outcome-based, person centred organisation, catering for a wide range of age groups, and we receive positive review and feedback from our partners and service users.

Activities

Leicester LGBT Centre offers a wide range of services including: LGBT+ Counselling, Social & Support groups for the LGBT+ Community (for young people and adults), LGBT+ Training & Consultacny for professionals, LGBT+ Inclusion Award and Education & Support Packages for schools and colleges.
