Objectives

Lymington League of Friends is a charity set up to improve the care and comfort of patients, visitors and staff at the hospital. Since 1952 we have contributed over £4 million for this purpose. The NHS cannot fund all equipment and that is where our impact benefits hugely, enabling purchases for that extra piece of cutting edge technology for patients or equipping a room with new furniture for patients and their family/friends.

Activities

We offer a shop and café within the hospital, which is run by volunteers Mon-Sat. We also offer a morning and afternoon trolley service for Newspapers/magazines to confectionery and health items.  A guiding service helps show people the way to appointments or finding family/friends in certain areas. Befrienders work on the wards, greeting patients with a friendly smile, conversation and activities. We fund raise avidly to gain support and much needed funds.
