The League works to protect animals suffering persecution from hunting, shooting, organised fighting and other cruel ‘sport’, by:

•         Managing wildlife sanctuaries and acquiring ‘sporting rights’ from landowners in order to prevent animal persecution

•         Investigating and exposing wildlife crime, illegal hunting and cruelty to animals in the name of ‘sport’

•         Campaigning for effective legal protections for animals, and for appropriate penalties and enforcement

•         Working with local communities, partners and other organisations to change attitudes and behaviour in order to help end the persecution of animals for ‘sport’
