Objectives

Lavender Hope CIC is based in Tulse Hill, South London. We are a small team with a big passion for helping the community and have secured a venue from Lambeth council which will be opening to the public for the first time at the end of May. We are calling for volunteers for a range of roles to help keep the centre running and in turn volunteers will benefit from feeling rewarded, meeting new people, enhance personal skills, gain work experience and a reference if needed. We aim to create a community hub for people to feel welcome and safe. The center will be providing a range of activities and events for all ages and abilities, such as gardening, cooking, fitness, movie nights, tea and coffee mornings, art and wellbeing, and day trips to parks and other places of interest. We will be providing courses for adults aiming to return to education and employment. We will also provide additional services such as after school club, creche, access to IT, mentoring for children and young people, CV help, free legal advice and general assistance for anyone needing help contacting other services such Universal Credit and Turn2us.

The centre is also available for hire. If you are a charity or community interest group and would like to host workshops/sessions, please get in touch. Concessionary rates are available.
