We intend to help people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues. We aim to provide a self sufficient community centre (through businesses run from the centre) open to all to provide activities and groups to promote health, wellbeing and fun.
We plan to promote inclusion and acceptance through a weekly programme and regular events. We will encourage and promote pier to pier learning and try to provide employment for those who may struggle elsewhere.
Being active and involved in something on a regular basis or having the outlet to be involved, included or simply have a chat and not be judged, is a therapeutic remedy that serves to help and promote health and wellbeing which is fundamental in the lives of all, especially those with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues.
We intend to provide a weekly programme of events that run on a regular basis, including coffee mornings simply for a chat, Arts & Crafts, Music, Exercise, Singing and Dancing for example. We aim to put on events such as a regular disco, bingo and seasonal parties.
We would like to host seminars and conferences relating to the purpose and mission of the Charity. We intend to link with local groups and Social Services to look at current needs and provide Family meeting rooms for example. The businesses that are planned to run alongside the Charity hub will provide some of the funding for the charities activities.
