Geographical remit:

The Objects are:

  • To protect human rights by undertaking rescues in SE Asia of women, children, and those most at risk of having their human rights violated.
  • To investigate and document violations of human rights committed against North Koreans in line with processes of accountability, creating better informed stakeholders of the contemporary human rights situation.
  • To educate exiled North Koreans on justice initiatives and to build skills within the exiled community that can be employed to better protect their rights.
  • To achieve legal, moral and, where possible, financial restitution for North Korea’s victims through truth-seeking, memory, and justice programmes.

Korea Future Initiative rescues vulnerable North Koreans, reports on human rights violations, and provides redress to exiles pursuing justice and accountability through training and the development of accountability programmes.
