We are a small independent advice centre that was formed in 1983 by a group of local people who saw the need for a community based advice centre. We worked closely with the parish council and other local groups to obtain the use of the local library for a weekly drop in session. We have expanded and now offer a full week timetable of drop ins, office and outreach appointments.
Our service is accessible to everyone and is free. We have dedicated staff - paid and volunteers who are passionate about the centre and its clients.
We deliver advice from our office at Kiveton Park and also offer outreach services at Thurcroft, Dinnington, Maltby and Rawmarsh.
We also work closely with mental health services and have appointments at Ferham clinic and Swallownest Court Hospital, giving vulnerable clients easier access to our services.
We offer advice in many areas including debt, welfare benefits, housing and consumer issues. We also have volunteer solicitors who attend our Monday evening drop ins at the centre
