Working with our partners in the UK and in Sub Saharan Africa we support local communities in Sub Saharan Africa in their planning, funding and implementation of WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) projects.
Since its launch in 2008 the trust has played a key role in delivering over twenty projects in Uganda and Kenya. Activities have been focussed on:
the provision of sanitation and washing facilities.
in collaboration with the Notre Dame Community Outreach organising and running a health camp attended by residents of villages in the Kalungu district of Uganda.
The Trust has now reached a critical point in its development. Two of he founding trustees are planning to retire from the Trustee Board and prior to this are wishing to recruit new Trustees to carry on and develop Kisoboka’s work. The “new team” will play a key role in the delivery of improvements in accessing clean water, proper sanitation and improved health outcomes for many households and villages.
The Kisoboka Trust supports local initiatives in various countries in Sub-Saharan Africa impacting on water, sanitation, health and related issues in communities, schools, hospitals and health centres.
The Trust seeks to help by:-
Providing financial support to projects initiated by local people who are lacking necessary funds.
Offering technical assistance where there is a defined need but the necessary expertise is not available.
Supporting volunteers who can offer their technical or practical skills and experience.
Working with locally based NGOs and charities to enhance their technical and financial capabilities.
