Objectives

Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH) supports single people, who have a connection to the borough of Kingston and who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

KCAH and The Bridge can both be found at St Peter's Church Hall, London Road, Kingston, KT2 6QL.

The charity was founded in 1993 and since that time it has already helped thousands of people.

Activities

KCAH is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The charity can help you to address and resolve housing problems by offering these key services:

  • Drop-in sessions with the Housing Crisis Intervention Service, Monday to Friday, 10am - 12 midday. If you are visiting us for the first time, please aim for 10am.
  • Supported housing for people who have recently experienced homelessness and are finding it difficult to access private rented accommodation. This is provided by KCAH's Resident Support Team, through our Access Project.
  • Referrals to housing providers such as the YMCA in Surbiton.
  • Advice on welfare benefits.
  • Emergency clothing, equipment and refreshments provided on-site.
  • Specialist support for those who use substances and have been sleeping rough or are at risk of sleeping rough. This is run by The Bridge @ KCAH. The drop-in is open Mondays 10am - 1pm, Tuesdays 2pm - 4pm, Wednesdays 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm.
