Objectives

At Kingston and District Sea Cadets, we aim to give young people an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be in a safe and friendly environment. Through various activities and adventures, we learn teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, honesty and how to be the best version of themselves.

It is our priority to make sure that Sea Cadets is a safe environment young people can go to, to be themselves.

Activities

We offer a range of activities at a lower than industry cost, to allow children from all backgrounds to participate and benefit from our offer.

Our cadets take part in boating activities, such as rowing, sailing, powerboating, and paddle sports. We also offer shore based qualifications like catering, meteorology, first aid, marine engineering, adventure training and music.

We offer external qualifications like RYA courses, DofE at all levels and BTEC Levels 1 and 2.

Cadets can also go on week away voyages on our fleet of ships, TS Royalist (Square Rig), power vessels TS John Jerwood and TS Jack Petchey, and our yachts TS Sir Stelios and TS City of London.
