Kingsbury Charity’s purpose is to help the poor and needy of Kingsbury.  The charity does this mainly through its almshouses (39 flats over two sites), as well as by making grants to other charities.  The almshouses provide subsidised accommodation for elderly local people who are of limited means.  The almshouses are not sheltered accommodation and there is no warden; residents must be able to live independently or with help from other agencies.
