Kings World Trust for Children helps poor and disadvantaged children in South India by providing an education to help them escape the cycle of poverty. This is an ambitious programme which does not merely lay down the basics of reading and writing, but helps its children through higher/vocational education to give them real career prospects.
Some of the children are supported through the Outreach Programme which helps with the expenses of children going to their local schools, paying for uniforms, books, etc, as well as providing money for food.
Others attend Kings School, which teaches the Indian curriculum in English, an important asset for career chances. Kings is a fee paying school with excellent facilities which provides free places for disadvantaged children in addition to those paid for by Kings World Trust for Children.
