Kinergy is a specialist counselling agency offering support for survivors of sexual abuse & sexual violence. Founded in 1996, we are based in Kingswood in Bristol. We are an inclusive service and support everyone aged 16 and up, regardless of gender, race, or sexuality in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, BANES, and North Somerset.
Our mission is to support those who have experienced abuse by helping them recover safely.
We aim to provide a safe, accepting and supportive environment for survivors, so they can come to terms with the past, enjoy the present and look forward to the future. All our counsellors either have or are in process of getting a professional qualification accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the National Counselling Society (NCS), or the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
Specialist support: Kinergy is unique in its approach as we don’t restrict individuals who can access our services and offer them specialist counselling and group work. Services are client focused whereby we shape our services around the needs of our clients.
Support for family members: Kinergy offers a support group for friends, partners and families who have been affected by sexual abuse. This service is unique in Avon and Somerset offering a vital space of individuals to explore how best to support someone and also the impact the abuse has had on them.
