Objectives

Key is a registered charity which gives housing support to young people up to the age of 25. We provide a variety of services and hold Drop Ins at both our main office in Balfour Court in Leyland and Youth Zone Chorley, as well as providing a number of services in young people’s homes. Services include:

  • Drop In Services in Chorley and South Ribble
  • A Family Mediation service for families who are struggling to get along
  • A Counselling Service
  • Floating Support (housing support on a one to one basis for up to 2 years)
  • Employment Mentoring and Life Skills training.

We offer a friendly, caring and supportive ear to young people who are homeless or worried they might become homeless. Key doesn’t own or have any direct access to housing. We work with young people to help them understand their rights and choices available to them. Key has close contacts with housing providers in the area, and can help young people make housing applications.
