Objectives

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK.

We empower 240,000 girls to be their best and face the challenges of growing up today. We’ve been doing that through adventure, friendship and fun for over 100 years.

We want all girls across the UK to have the space and opportunities they need to thrive, grow and give back to their communities

More than 240,000 girls already meet regularly as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers. Together they learn skills, grow in confidence, make lifelong friendships, help their communities and have lots of fun.

Activities

Guiding wouldn't be able to happen without our 80,000 incredible volunteers. They give their time because they are passionate and care about enriching the lives of girls. They make a difference in their local communities so that girls can try new things, have fun and speak out on issues that matter to them.

Volunteers give their time in many different ways - they consult with girls to plan and run weekly meetings, arrange special trips and events, manage budgets, source equipment, carry out group administration and attend regular local meetings and training events. They do all of this voluntarily - to give girls in guiding fantastic opportunities and experiences.

You don't need to have been involved in guiding before or have loads of spare time to make a big difference. Whatever your skills and interests there’s a role to suit you.
