Kent Community Foundation connects philanthropists with local causes by setting up funds and distributing grants. We identify the needs in the county and direct our grants at the most pressing local issues. We want to support charities and community groups both financially and with practical help in making grant applications and assist philanthropists to make the best use of their generous donations.
Kent Community Foundation has been finding, funding, and supporting some of the smallest voluntary organisations in the county for 20 years. In this time, we have distributed over £40 million to support thousands of small charities and deserving causes where a modest sum of money can make a significant impact. At least 600 grants are made every year from our 80+ funds. We have endowment funds of over £26m which generate income year on year to help local cause but also remain in perpetuity for generations to come.
