Objectives

We are a peer-led recovery charity, founded by Kevin and Clare Kennedy in 2016.  We offer support and signposting to anyone interested in recovery from addiction.  Kennedy Street is based in Brighton with national reach.

Our Mission

To promote recovery from addiction; improving health and wellbeing, encouraging and promoting social inclusion, through education, training and personal development.

Our Purpose

Inspiring people to realise their full potential, to live free of social exclusion because of addiction or poor mental health.

Achieving our Purpose

We achieve our purpose by providing a mix of:

  • telephone support
  • workshop-based learning
  • recovery coaching; linking people to peer supporters to build a long-term connection to other people in recovery and in the community
  • in person and online workshops that focus on building people’s self-esteem, confidence, resilience and routes to employment
  • leadership skills through volunteering
  • work experience opportunities.

By working with the business community and connecting people to the wider community, we break down the stigma and isolation that people with addiction issues feel.  We work closely with local and national partners, building a network of services and helping people to sustain their recovery.
