Objectives

Keeping Abreast is a charity dedicated to supporting women considering or going through breast reconstruction following a diagnosis of breast cancer of discovery of the breast cancer gene. 

We believe there is a need for women, both newly diagnosed with breast cancer and facing the possibility of mastectomy, and also women further down the line considering reconstructive surgery, to be able to meet and talk to other women who have been through similar experiences

  • The opportunity to meet other women facing similar issues
  • Information, support and practical help
  • The opportunity to see the results of reconstructive surgeon
  • Specific support for women with the BRCA gene, looking to have elective surgery through our sister group 'Nick of Time'
