Our beneficiaries are all postgraduate students registered at Keele University. Working closely with the Student Union, we focus on academic representation, welfare and support services and providing a dedicated social space to postgraduates, whether they live on campus or elsewhere. Postgraduates can have different needs to the undergraduate population but these can be overlooked, so our charity helps to raise the profile of postgraduate study and ensure their voices are heard.
We have a small Officer team, made up of two full-time elected Sabbatical Officers and a diverse Committee of voluntary elected representatives. We have a part-time paid Co-ordinator and a full-time paid Bar Manager, who looks after our popular and welcoming social place, the Clubhouse. We run regular activities to appeal to postgraduate students, and provide a range of welfare support, including activities to promote mental health. Our President sits on University Council and a range of other University Committees, ensuring the needs of postgraduates are represented at all levels of the University. We award up to £12k per year in individual Bursaries, for postgraduates to engage in enrichment activities. We also hold an annual Celebration of Postgraduate Success event, promoting and celebrating the best of postgraduate achievements and their contribution to the postgraduate community at Keele.
