JOLE RIDER helps children and young people in Africa by providing bicycles for their journey to school. The impact of our charity is that young Africans reach their education far more quickly, easily, safely and equipped to learn. They also achieve higher academic qualifications than if they walked to school.
JOLE RIDER runs the Bikes4Africa programme from its UK base in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Working with Household Recycling Centres, volunteers, Rotary Clubs, schools and other members of the community the charity rescues redundant bicycles. The bikes are then refurbished by inmates in partner prisons in Great Britain, and delivered to schools in Africa by sea.
