Objectives

Joined Up Thinking JUT CIC is an organisation that empowers young people from ages 11 to 25, focusing on people from the BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) community. Our vision is to encourage and support young people to stand out and reach their potential by working with them on areas including career development, discovering talents, life skills, and self-confidence building.

As a small organisation, we have worked closely with over 200 young people, predominantly from the BAME community. Many of whom were able to achieve one or more of the following: progress to further education, pursue careers they had previously considered out of their reach, complete university, develop stronger resilience, develop creative skills and gain self-confident and build better personal relationships.

We support young people in Swale, Kent and also in Lewisham, Southwark and Greenwich in London.

Activities

The activities we provide include: mentoring provision in (schools and community), employability training for young people not in education, employment or training, work experience, mental health awareness workshops and creative workshops.

Our services aim to develop self-confidence, address unemployment in young people, reduce school exclusions, provide access to early help and increase resilience.
