The John Schofield Trust undertakes two main activities to support and nurture journalists at the start of their career:

1. the John Schofield Trust mentoring scheme, and
2. the RTS Young Talent of the Year Award bursary

With our contacts across all the UK newsrooms and our proven success in nurturing young journalists, we now want to expand our activities by unlocking social disadvantage in newsrooms. This way, news agencies will be better placed to represent the news to all their audiences.
