We are a charity that strives to improve the environment in York and abroad for the benefit of people in poverty or to generally help with environmental problems.
We like to plant trees and create green areas, we have done a lot of work in India in Ramnager, creating a community centre /school and water pump for clean water. We also provided them with sewing machines to help the women support their families.
We are now building a enabling garden for a local mental health group. Our charity was created after our founder started up St Nicolas Fields nature reserve and environment centre in York .We hope the school in Ramnager gives all the village children a good chance in life, and also bringing benefit to Ramnager. We are currently re writing our strategies to work out the best ways we can help as an environmental charity.
We are currently having meetings to form new strategies for the coming years. Our current project is to build a beautiful garden for the use of the local mental health day care centre known as the Hut ,with features to help those with a range of disabilities enjoy nature. We have many exciting new projects proposed for the next year. We have a small charity shop on Lowther Street in York to raise funds, we have become a bit of a community hub too, we also sell online, and attend fairs and events.
