Objectives

Jigsaw is about friends, good times and going places.  It aims to increase community inclusion and social opportunities for people living in Sandwell and Dudley who have limited opportunities.  It is especially for people with a learning disability who don’t get support from services. It organises a range of trips and regular activities and one off events. Volunteers support people on the activities.

Activities

  • Coach trips – to coastal resorts and Christmas Shopping to cities such as Bath and Chester on the first Saturday in December

  • Curry club - at local balti restaurants every other month

  • A walking group which provides day walks of approx. 10 miles in local countryside such as Wyre Forest, Cannock Chase and Shropshire

  • One off activities have included evening bat walks in local parks, annual cycle ride on the Tissington Trail, Christmas carol concerts and visits to Halesowen college for hair and beauty treatments
