Jain Network exists to provide a place of worship and study for all major Jain traditions; global hub for information on Jainism, its values, and activities; facilities, resources and services to improve the quality of life for Jain and wider community.
Jains believe in friendship for all and malice towards none; improvement of quality of life, compassion, equality, animal welfare, preserving the environment, peace, love and harmony to serve the people.
Jain Network carries out activities such as education and training workshops; advocacy, healthy living including yoga and meditation; reduction of social isolation and loneliness for the community members of Jain & wider community; interfaith and public events; community cohesion, cultural and spiritual activities. It also provides office space to other organisations such as Council of Dharmic Faiths and space to other Jain, individuals and community groups.
Under vision and leadership of Dr Natubhai Shah MBE (instrumental in creating the Jain Centre Leicester ) and the Jain Network Trustees. we have gone from strength to strength, in achieving our mission to improve the spiritual and physical quality of life for Jains and wider community. Through its spiritual, academic, philanthropic, interfaith work and public services, the Jain Network is hailed as a key Jain organisation in the UK.
Jain Network supports other organisations and forums by allowing the use of office facilities and space; currently this includes Art of Living, Council of Dharmic Faiths, Barnet Hindu Forum, National Council of Gujarati Organisations, JNHA Social Enterprise and many other activities such as yoga, meditation and community welfare services of all ages.
We currently hold weekly food distribution for the needy, meditation sessions & yoga and, Organ donation advocacy and awareness of change of law.
