Our mission is the relief of poverty worldwide with the vision to instil change, hope and prosperity to the lives of many around the world.
We tackle poverty by implementing Food, Water, and Self-sustainable programs around the world in very poor communities.
As a charity shop, our main objective is to provide affordable and great quality merchandise and clothing to the local and surrounding communities who are going through hardship and poverty. We also take on volunteers who look to gain and develop skills by going through a detailed and personalised training sheet. This allows all of our volunteers to pick and choose the areas they'd like to develop in, tailoring our experience to suit the different volunteers.
We campaign our projects and fundraise in creative and fun ways, in and out of our stores. We use fancy dress, hikes and walks, trips abroad, coffee mornings, cooking club and many more ways to fundraise. We never say no to any ideas unless you want us to take you to the moon. Which we'd need to first sit down and talk about.
As a charity, we pride ourselves on making sure every donation goes exactly where it’s intended too. So if a donation of £1 or £100 comes in for a water project, we make sure 100% of that is going towards the water project. This means our shop's takings cover overheads, bills and all the nitty-gritty stuff that donations can’t cover. It’s incredibly important for our shops to hit our targets and make our money but in an exciting, fun and creative way.
So when volunteers do come through our door, we’re not just looking for someone to spare two hours or three, to help clean and price items. We’re looking for volunteers who can spare that one-hour selling item online and making the charity £10. Being creative with our window displays making new customers walk into our shops. Redesigning and updating our stock to make it more modern and unique. We want volunteers that will add value to what we already have in place and in return, we will provide all tools and equipment to better your skill set and make you stand out from other volunteers.
