The International Refugee Trust is an international humanitarian organisation based in the United Kingdom, providing  support to refugees and internally displaced persons (idps) affected by conflict and disasters in Africa and the Middle East for the past 30 years.  After all other humanitarian organisations have left, The International Refugee Trust partners with local organisations such as national nongovernmental organisations, churches, schools, government entities, and universities in remote locations to address the ongoing needs of the most vulnerable members of the refugee and idp populations.

The International Refugee Trust strengthens the institutional capacity of local partners in leadership training, financial and operations management, needs assessments, programme design, proposal development, budget creation and technical support. By strengthening institutional capacity, The International Refugee Trust promotes sustainable development as it endows the local partner with the technical tools and assistance they need to effectively address local needs through tailored, evidence-based programmes - providing comprehensive refugee support and access to education and poverty alleviation, access to healthcare, and psychosocial assistance - benefiting both project beneficiaries and the wider community.
