Objectives

Integrated Neurological Services is a registered charity providing professional long term support to people with neuro-disabilites and their carers in West London. Our team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and social workers provides therapy, information and support to help manage neurological conditions.  All workers are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the relevant professional bodies. You must live in, or a have a GP in, the London boroughs of Richmond or Hounslow to receive our services INS supports adults with a neurological condition, such as: Multiple sclerosis (MS) Parkinson’s disease (PD) Stroke Ataxia Brain tumour Head injury Huntington’s disease (HD) Motor neurone disease (MND) Multiple system atrophy (MSA) Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) INS offers individual and group therapy.

Activities

Groups and Activities INS offers a variety of long term and short term groups. Some of these groups are for people with a specific neurological condition, while others are open to all conditions. Our groups focus on different areas; some are exercise based, others focus on managing symptoms, while others provide you with an opportunity to try out different activities. Each individual must be seen by an INS therapist to check their suitability for any of our groups and activities. see our website www.ins.org.uk for more details and INSide News for information on the groups running this term Exercise based groups to maintain or improve your fitness. We run various exercise groups for people of different physical abilities. Living well groups. We run a variety of groups which focus on living well with your condition. Symptom management groups. These short term groups help you manage issues related to your neurological condition. They are open to people with any neurological condition. Communication groups We offer long term and short term groups for people with a range of communication difficulties, arising from a neurological condition. Expanding Horizons groups A range of short term groups offering an opportunity to participate in activities of therapeutic benefit. Activities are tailored to the needs of those with a neurological condition. Summer activities .Each year INS runs a programme called Expanding Horizons. This includes a range of activities and is open to all those known to INS and their partners/carers.
