Objectives

Inspired Aviation has been set up to make aviation, and aerospace, in many forms. more accessible to the public through an innovative and disruptive approach to the sector. The organisation will run a number of interconnected programmes, the first of these being the building of a fleet of light sport aircraft that will involve young people and members of local communities in the construction. The aircraft will then be used to train future pilots and help others in the community through the inspiring activity of flight. Naturally, these community groups would include people in social care, disabled people, adult learners and young and adult people in the criminal justice system.  Running concurrently will be collaborative research into the design, development and manufacture of an all new family of aircraft. The project will bring together engineering, research and development into materials science, manufacturing and human factors in order to essentially create a new industry for the United Kingdom that will be created by its communities.
