Objectives

The Independent Assistance Dog Agency (IADA) helps disabled people to owner-train their existing dogs to be Assistance Dogs.

Activities

IADA is beginning a pilot of its Assistance Dog programme. This programme uses a disabled person's existing dog, We guide applicants through basic socialisation and obedience, disability-specific tasks, and then training for public access.

We aim to provide training aids and equipment from charity funds, such as clickers, rope tugs, leads, harnesses, lead sleeves, and jackets for dogs at appropriate stages.
