IIC is the International membership organisation for heritage conservation professionals, an independent international organisation supported by individual and institutional members. It serves as a forum among professionals with responsibility for the conservation of cultural heritage. It advances knowledge, practice and standards for conservation through its publications and conferences. It promotes professional excellence and public awareness through its awards and grants.
IIC publishes Studies in Conservation, the leading international journal of heritage conservation and News in Conservation, the international heritage conservation newspaper. IIC also has an active and very popular social networking presence across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn to further spread engagement and awareness. IIC organises biennial international heritage conservation conferences, biennial student conferences, seminars, training courses and talks. All of these aim to support and ensure the delivery of IIC's objectives.
