To support the visually impaired community of Huntingdonshire to live as independent life as they choose to live. We provide a range of activities and services tailored to the individual needs of our members, their carers and families.  Our team of staff and volunteers are committed to providing members with support and advice enabling them to maximise independent living, regain confidence and improve their quality of life. 


Services we provide include:

  • home visit service to assess needs and provide information and support
  • identification of and assistance with benefit entitlement applications
  • tips and techniques in aspects of daily  living 
  • visual aid equipment centre 
  • support and advice at low-vision clinic
  • emotional support
  • IT support and information
  • volunteer home-visiting scheme 
  • agent for British Wireless for the Blind 
  • social activities (depending upon your interests you can join our social groups or on one of our member outings) Our social groups include monthly social groups, book group, walking group, arts and crafts group, technology group
