Objectives

Despite living in a world more connected than ever before, many of us still lack meaningful conversations and connected. At Hullo, we're here to change that. Hullo exists to unlock the power of conversation and create an inclusive, non-judgmental and safe space for people to chat and connect with others. We're not here to provide counselling, mental health advice or to advance one group over another; we're here to provide a conversation for everyone (regardless of their background). After all, 90% of people feel happier after a conversation with somebody (Hullo, 2020).

Since our launch in March 2020, at the beginning of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we have established a caller base of approximately 500 people every month, built a community of over 60 volunteers, connected with over 300,000 people on social media and had features in publications such as LadBible, The Independent and BBC Radio 5 Live. We have also built partnerships with organisations including Tesco, HSBC, Hogan Lovells and Facebook.

Activities

Although our free phoneline is temporarily on pause, we are looking to launch a new service called 'Hullo Again' in the near future. This will be an outbound caller service where people will be able to 'book in' for chats at a time that suits them. An absolute gamechanger!
