Housing Initiatives was set up in 2001 with the aim of promoting the value of ordinary living opportunities and eliminating the segregation and stigmatisation of people who consider themselves to be disadvantaged by reason of their physical health, mental ill health or learning disability.
Housing Initiatives provides support with the aim of preserving and protecting the health and wellbeing of its tenants by undertaking the management of housing projects, including the responsibilities of a management agent, providing alternatives to institutionalised care, meeting individual supported housing needs and allying, where appropriate, with support agencies.
Housing Initiatives provides advice and assistance in arranging and carrying out maintenance works to homes and providing any associated amenities specially designed or adapted to meet any disability requirements.
Housing Initiatives go above and beyond the services offered by mainstream landlords, we provide our tenants with the additional intensive housing management services that they require.
