Objectives

To enable people living with a life-limiting condition to live and die well, whilst supporting those who matter most to them.

We commit to provide a free, expert, bespoke service at the highest standard.

We provide specialist support from diagnosis, through treatment and complexities; and when needed into end of life care and bereavement in partnership with others.

Activities

Hospice of the Valleys is the community palliative care service serving the Blaenau Gwent community. Our services include a consultant, specialist palliative care nurses, complementary therapy, specialist physiotherapist, family support team which includes welfare right support and bereavement support, a dedicated dementia service, Hospice at Home service, care home support and an ANP providing support in the local community hospital.

We are also dedicated to developing and delivering excellent education and training to all Health and Social Care professionals who care for patients with palliative care needs.

In 2021 the Hospice is celebrated its 30th anniversary.
