Objectives

HOPE supports those bereaved by suicide who are 18 years and over.We are a professional service with peer-led values offering open ended support that responds to the needs of a psychological trauma. Suicide loss is often misunderstood and survivors may feel isolated during recovery.HOPE offers monthly and structured group meetings, email, phone and skype support .A service designed to reduce secondary suicides.

Activities

HOPEs service is designed primarily to support survivors and it is delivered only by survivors who can give evidence of a good recovery and bring  hope. It is important for survivors to have input into the service they access,,to have their own voice and are allowed to represent themselves giving back the control they lost on that fateful day.. HOPE also campaigns against the negative and outdated language surrounding suicide. We seek to increase partnerships in Suffolk and to establish ongoing relationships with all professionals that come in contact with completed suicide.and consequently  those bereaved by suicide.
