Volunteer Trustees Needed for Community Use Building in Honiton, Devon.

Are you passionate about community engagement and making a difference? We're currently seeking dedicated volunteer trustees to join our team. Here's what you need to know:

1. Our Mission: We own a community use building in Honiton, Devon, which serves as a vital hub for various local groups. From the youth club to the parent and toddler group, our facility has been at the heart of the community for over 27 years.

2. Building Overview: Our purpose-built building, acquired in August 2021, has undergone significant improvements. However, there's still work to be done. We're committed to modernising the space and ensuring it remains a welcoming and functional environment.

3. Trustee Roles: Currently, we have four officer posts: Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Building Lead. As a trustee, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the building's operations. This includes ensuring compliance with legislation, maintaining policies, and assisting with the annual review.

4. Collaboration: While our part-time manager handles day-to-day tasks, trustees actively support and deputize when needed. It's not just about oversight; it's about actively contributing to the smooth functioning of our community space.

5. Succession Opportunities: As some team members are elderly, there's room for succession. You could step into roles like vice chair or vice treasurer, further enriching your experience and impact.
