Home-Start Winchester and Districts supports vulnerable families living in the Winchester area who have at least one child under the age of 5. These families are experiencing a wide range of issues ranging from poor mental health, low self-esteem, coping with multiple children under the age of 5, lone parenting or disability (either parent or child). Home-Start support helps parents improve their parenting skills and helps to increase their confidence.
We train volunteers to support families in their own homes for at least 2 hours per week. Volunteers provide practical and emotional support and help families to access other services.
