For over 30 years, our community of trained volunteers and expert support, has been helping families with young children through their challenging times. We work across Oxford and West Oxfordshire, supporting parents facing issues including mental health, poverty, illness, disability, multiple births, refugeehood, social and rural isolation, domestic abuse and trauma. We bring no judgement, just compassionate, confidential help and expert support. Starting in the home, our approach is as individual as the people we’re helping. A child’s earliest years make the biggest impact: it is our goal to make sure those years count.
We are passionate about the earliest years, and the role our charity plays in ensuring families and young children in Oxfordshire are given every opportunity to thrive. We work with families who have at least one child under the age of 5. We do this through one-to-one volunteer home visiting support and through our weekly groups. We offer free, non-judgemental support, which is chosen by the families themselves. We focus on building relationships to help families going through difficult times. We look to build confidence, independence and resilience. Our support is tailored – it could be offering emotional support or practical help. It could be just being there to listen or to offer that little extra encouragement. We are there to help ensure that children’s earliest years count and that families thrive.
