Objectives

Home-Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead offers support, friendship and practical help to families under stress, who have at least one child under 10. The Scheme works in the Boroughs of Epsom & Ewell and Banstead and North Mole Valley (Leatherhead and Ashtead).

Home-Start offers a unique service, recruiting, training and supervising volunteers – who are often parents themselves – to visit families facing difficulties each week in their own homes.

We offer informal, friendly and confidential support to help parents to grow in confidence, to strengthen and to enjoy their relationships with their children, and to develop their links within their local community. We also provide perinatal support, parental guidance courses, a variety of group support sessions, school readiness programmes, and Dad Matters support to help Dads with parental bonding and wellbeing.

Activities

Home-Start Epsom, Ewell & Banstead provides support through:

- Trained Volunteers Providing Support to families at home and in the community

- Perinatal Mental Health Support, provided both 1-to-1 and in groups

- Parenting Support and Coaching for Over 5's and children with SEND
