Home-Start Elmbridge is an independent charity which has been supporting local families for many years. Supported by the national organisation, we have built on our core family visiting service to provide practical and emotional support for disadvantaged families with young children in a range of settings. The need for our help is growing in these difficult times and we are well placed to meet the challenge because we are financially sound and have talented and committed volunteers and staff.
We train and support volunteers to provide 1:1 home visiting support to disadvantaged families, including families with special needs. Our staff run parenthood support classes and we fund a parent support cafe. Working in partnership with others we can offer advice and assistance with budgeting, housing, social isolation and domestic abuse.
