Working in local communities since 1989, Home-Start Birmingham North and Inner City currently support families across Aston, Erdington, Handsworth Wood, Lozells & East Handsworth, Nechells and Stockland Green.
Examples of the need amongst families are poor mental or physical health; a parent or child with a disability; bereavement; post natal depression; Domestic Abuse; isolation or emotional well being.
All Home-Starts offer locally trained volunteers to provide emotional and practical support to families in their own homes and we also have a range of additional services such as counselling; play groups; family groups and English as a second or overseas language courses (ESOL).
