Objectives

Holding Space was established in 2019 by its founder after her own journey and experiences with her family. We support families - parents. carers, children, who are struggling with their mental health. We offer face to face support and a safe , confidential space where you can talk about your concerns, share and be supported. Our ethos is that you are not alone and we will support you and your family through this journey.

We believe that educating , supporting and empowering families is crucial tot he mental health of the next generation, along with early intervention and support. We have a team of therapists whom we can signpost you to for further support and intervention.

There is no other organisation like ours within East Sussex where the whole family is supported. We want to transform mental health for the next generation; help save lives, open up the conversations around mental health and help end the stigma

Activities

We offer a safe, confidential space for families to meet where they can connect, talk, share and be supported. Our groups are facilitated by those with lived experience, trained volunteers and/or counsellors. We also offer telephone support for parents and/or children.

We also have a team of therapists who can provide early intervention and support through a range of interventions such as counselling, CBT, art therapy
