To make the community a better place for people with mental health problems by campaigning and being the main provider of mental health services in Hillingdon. We provide and pioneer services to complement those provided by health and social services and we involve service users in all aspects of our work.
Hillingdon Mind is affiliated to National Mind. The services we provide are free, available to Hillingdon residents and include:
* Company, support and activities, at our lunchtime and evening social drop-ins and our weekend club.
* A Befriending Scheme offering one to one support to people who are isolated because of mental illness.
* An Appropriate Adult project which offers support to vulnerable people in police custody.
* A Counselling service which offers free counselling to Hillingdon people on a low income.
* A supported housing project in partnership with Notting Hill Housing Trust.
* A range of Asian projects including befriending, support groups and a drop-in.
